Meet the Founder:
Nanette Broadbelt., M.Ed., OCT

Hi, I'm Nanette, founder of ThinkPlay™ Learning Lab, an educator, curriculum creator, and advocate for brain-based learning.

My journey began at home when I watched my own child struggle to feel successful as a learner. That experience led me to ask a simple question: What if children aren't struggling to learn, but struggling because the way they're being taught doesn't match how the brain learns best?

That question sparked years of study, research, and classroom experience. It inspired me to create ThinkPlay™ Learning Lab, a program designed to help children build strong foundations for learning through movement, play, language, and structured instruction.

At ThinkPlay™, we believe that learning should be engaging, meaningful, and accessible. Our approach combines brain science with purposeful teaching to help children strengthen the skills that support reading, math, attention, memory, and confidence.

Because it's never just about academics. It's about helping children see themselves as capable learners who can grow, succeed, and thrive.

Whether you're a parent, educator, or community partner, I'd be honoured to support your learning journey.

Together, let's build strong foundations for confident learners.

Purpose for creating ThinkPlay

Not Just a Program. Helping Children Learn How to Learn

We've seen what happens when a child lights up with understanding—especially after struggling to feel successful as a learner.

ThinkPlay™ isn't just about reading or math. It's about building the foundations that support learning. Through movement, play, language, and structured instruction, we help children develop the skills they need to learn with confidence.

Our approach combines evidence-informed literacy practices, multisensory learning, and brain-based activities designed to engage the whole child. Every lesson is intentional, helping children strengthen attention, memory, language, and problem-solving skills in meaningful ways.

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, capable, and connected to the learning process. That's why we focus on building confidence alongside academic skills, creating experiences that are engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate.

No gimmicks. No busy work. Just purposeful learning designed to help children build strong foundations for lifelong success.
