Finding this notebook felt like finding a piece of the story I did not fully understand at the time.

Back then, I saw the repetition and questioned the approach. Now, I can also recognize that someone was noticing that learning was not sticking in the way we expected.

That realization has stayed with me. Children can participate, practise and try incredibly hard while still needing us to look more closely at what is happening underneath the task.

ThinkPlay is being built from questions like these the questions I wish I had known to ask sooner.

There is something humbling about realizing that effort is not always the missing piece.

Sometimes a child is trying. Sometimes the parent is trying. Sometimes the teacher is trying. And still, something is not clicking.

That is the space I’m learning to understand more deeply.

ThinkPlay is becoming a place where I can ask better questions, study the foundations beneath learning and slowly turn what I discover into practical support for families and children.

I don’t have it all figured out yet—but I’m finally willing to begin before everything feels perfect. 🤍
